I would love to say "Look mom, no mouse!", but as soon as i'm deleting automationpoints, clips, or notes, Bitwig gets out of Focus, and i have to reach for the mouse again. Please add true mouse-free editing with the 5.2 release version :D When deleting a Clip, Note, Point, Bitwigs Focus shall stay in the Track, putting the closest Clip, Note, Point (to the right) into focus. Thanks alot! :)

Maybe someone has a tip for me? How can i route the Sound from the Bitwig Sample Browser to the Master Bus BEFORE hitting the output? I have the SoundID Plugin on the master and when i listen to samples in the Browser it skips the master chain with my SOundID Plugin. Thank you very much :)

Bitwig would have be an great DAW had it been released in the year 2005. Bitwig by today's standards is less of a DAW and more of small package of some nice sounding instruments and semi-mediocre sounding effects slapped onto the most basic midi and audio editor available. This companies business model is based off of pure greed.

Themes? Changing of Skin Color? We are not all cave bats who like orange. I use ableton more exclusively for this reason, I just can't see Bitwig in my daylight studio. Cheers.

It would be a great update for Bitwing As is happening in other Daws: Add AI such as: -ADD the option in the track the option to separate an audio track with its instruments such as. Drums, vocals, bass, piano, etc. (STEMS SPLIT) or (GENERATE STEMS) Other updated daws have added this option, such as -Logic-11 -Tracktion Waveform -Audacity All these daws have already added the option. There is a plugin called (Openvino) that allows you to add modules in the context menu. -They could also improve Bitwing interface design colors and skins. 🙌🤞

I'm a multi-instrumentalist, mainly performing. Coming from Studio One & Ableton Live, lately converted to Bitwig 5.2 - which just works better in my performance setup!

Please please please build a version of Bitwig Grid that can run standalone as a Eurorack module. I’d love to be able to build patches on the computer, but computers in a live setup is just not the vibe (or liability) I want for a performing instrument. #freebitwig (from the chains of a computer…)

terrible performance after added 50 channel. I expect a DAW to crash but not resetting or changing random plugins setting (Eqs Reverbs Delays both native and 3rd party) to default which is a nightmare to trace them back. For now I'm back to Cubase/FL . I'll check again a version or two higher.

I think it is the best DAW for Linux, I like a lot the design and maybe I would buy it. The alternatives version that I have looked are LLMS, Ardour, Reaper, Bespoke Synth and Zrythm, but they are not very intuitive. It is hard to find good audio editors on Linux with a beautiful and elegant desgin, that works. And using WINE to use FL Studio or other Windows apps is a mess. I'm on Arch Linux with KDE and it works, however there's a learning curve.

Hi and thank you. As a novice grid user I would like to ask you to change some 'details. The thing about the grid is that you connect blue to blue/red/yellow. Therefore, at first it is not clear how to connect everything correctly. I mean that the red output can be connected to the blue input and vice versa. So it would be cool if the user pulled out the “cable”, and the devices would already light up the input to which it can be connected.I understand what you explained in the video. But sometimes nothing happens at all when connecting. So it can get confusing very quickly. It may be a matter of habit, though.

Witzig. Ich habe mehrfach von Inkompatibilität gesprochen - auf meinem Debian 13 (Trixie - testing). Aber ... Bitwig hatte noch gewissermaßen den "Trumpf", behaupten zu können, das käme, da ich Bitwig Studio als *deb Paket installiere, das ja - offiziell - ausschließlich Ubuntu unterstützt. Nun haben ich mir die Arbeit mal spaßeshalber gemacht und (das eigentlich von mir "verbannte" Flatpak und danach die Flatpak-Variante von) Bitwig Studio 5.2 Beta 3 als installiert. Auch - natürlich - die Installation von den Vulkan- Zusätzen ... fand statt - wie ja erwartet. Und was geschah? 😂🤣😂 Die Maschine hat nach Aufruf des aus dem Flatpak installierten Bitwig Stuidio - wie auch das Debian-Paket in _ i d e n t i s c h e r _ Weise - den Flashscreen gezeigt, dann geschah (optisch zumindest) für einige Sekunden gar nichts - und danach beide Monitore schwarz, auf einem ein an der linken oberen Ecke positioniertes Rechteck in der Größe des Flashscreens in Schwarz und der Rest des Schirms mit vielen dünnen senkrechten türkis-farbenen Linien bedeckter Schirm bedeckt... und dann... ein Re-Boot. Also kann auch Flatpak das Problem nicht beheben und der von Bitwig verweigerte Support kann gerne da bleiben wo er ist. Die Behauptung von Bitwig, das Flatpak sei weniger "Problem-behaftet", kann ich somit definitiv _ n i c h t _ bestätigen und ... so lange dies so bleibt, bleibe ich weg von jeder Lizenz. Denn wie schon einmal gesagt: Ich weigere mich, einen Rechner so zu kaufen/umzubauen, dass er - und das auch nur _ h o f f e n t l i c h _ - zu Bitwig Studio kompatibel ist, _ d e n n _ Vulkan wird auf diesem meinem Rechner von Spielen fehlerfrei benutzt - nur eben nicht von Bitwig Studio! Tja... tolle Entscheidung, Bitwig! Ich hoffe, diese Aktionen lohnen sich für's Geschäft und ich hoffe, für alle die, die das "Boot verlassen", finden sich gleich viele Andere, die es auch wieder betreten und sich nicht an den weniger begeisterten Kommentaren stören (die bekanntlich mit der Zeit zunahmen... - jetzt eben auch durch mich).
